Tees Valley Motors has joined the UK network of SsangYong Motors after successfully exiting the discontinued car retail franchise of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK.
The car dealership, which was founded in 2004 and represented the Japanese marque for 17 years before it withdrew from new car sales in the UK market, is located off McMullen Road in Darlington.
As such, its four-car showroom is close to a number of other franchise car retail operations run by Pendragon’s SG Petch and Bristol Street Motors.

SsangYong signed 16 new car retail partners in the UK last year, including 14 ex-Mitsubishi locations.
Key models showcased at Tees Motor Group’s new dealership will include SsangYong’s flagship seven-seater SUV, the Rexton, a facelifted Musso pick-up, the Tivoli compact SUV and the Korando crossover, now available in a zero-emission version. electric vehicle (EV).
The lineup evolution has helped the Korean brand increase sales by 65.3% year-to-date, from 239 to 395, according to data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders for the first quarter.
