Waylands is opening its first dedicated multi-brand electric vehicle sales center, Waylands E, in Newbury, Berkshire.
The ever-growing dealership group, led by Managing Director John O-Hanlon, is launching Waylands E Open next to its new MG dealership on Newbury Motor Park.
Waylands E will offer numerous makes and models led by a team of electric vehicle specialists to help customers on their mission to embark on zero- and low-emission driving, whether buying new vehicles or second hand.
O’Hanlon said: “We are excited not only to increase our presence at MG, but also to expand our electric vehicle offering. Waylands E will be our first multi-franchise electric vehicle center which will further support us in our mission to net zero as more customers transition to hybrid and electric vehicles.
“Newbury presents a great opportunity for MG and an additional electric vehicle presence and we are delighted to open the doors on August 15.”
Waylands has been supporting the transition to electric vehicles in its franchise operations for some time, having achieved NFDA EVA accreditation at a number of its locations and being named the 2022 NFDA Green Dealer of the Year with an investment exceeding 1, £0 million in charging infrastructure already committed.
This addition will further reinforce the Group’s commitment to fostering sustainable automotive and opening up the market for used electric and hybrid vehicles to many customers for the first time.
Waylands, which also represents Volvo and Kia in the Thames Valley in Reading, Oxford, Swindon and Bristol, won the 2022 NFDA Green Dealer Award earlier this year in recognition of the dealer group’s efforts and investment in adopting and move the transition forward. zero emissions.
This latest expansion comes just two months after it grew through the acquisition of Kia UK dealership from Grovebury Cars in Bicester.
